Metro Health has received national recognition for its exceptional heart attack care. Total Benchmark Solutions honored Metro Health with a Best Acute Care Hospitals Award in January of 2007 for our treatment of heart attacks, heart failure and pneumonia. We’ve also been honored with a 2008 Silver Performance Achievement Award from the National Cardiovascular Data Registry as part of its inaugural Acute Coronary Treatment and International Outcome Network “Get with the Guidelines” program. The award acknowledged Metro Health’s efforts to deliver high-level quality care to patients experiencing a heart attack. See a detailed list of our cardiac care awards.
In an effort to deliver excellent care to all heart-attack patients, Metro Health:
- Manages more than 95 percent of heart attack cases with cardiologists
- Metro Health Hospital is the first in Michigan approved to provide emergency angioplasty without surgical back-up and one of the few in West Michigan to offer this service. (Emergent angioplasty/stent is an advanced cardiac service that opens blocked blood vessels during a heart attack.)
Metro Health offers competitive prices for our services. Our Community Benefit Discount is for patients with no health insurance. Our prices reflect the cost of a service with and without this discount.
