Metro Health Doctor's Office Visit

Patient in need of helpMetro Health’s commitment to health and wellness extends far beyond the walls of the hospital. We know that to truly impact the health of our community we must ensure access to high quality primary care. Because of this understanding, Metro Health offers outpatient services including primary care and family physician offices, laboratory services, physical therapy and imaging services at outpatient centers located throughout the greater Grand Rapids area.

While we are happy to offer our community excellent inpatient hospital services, our goal is to keep people well and out of the hospital.

Quality

From elite athletes who rehabilitate from injuries with physical therapists specially trained in sports medicine to women who are happy they can have their mammograms close to home, Metro Health outpatient center patients repeatedly tell us they like the care they receive at the centers. Here are some other ways Metro Health works to provide high quality service at our outpatient centers:

  • Primary care physicians at our outpatient centers provide patients with diabetes standardized care as outlined by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and the American Diabetes Association. This assures that patients with diabetes experience evidence-based care that is designed to reduce their chance of adverse reactions to their illness. Most of these physicians are NCQA certified in diabetes care.
  • Metro Health has won the Governor’s Award of Excellence for Physician Office Services every year since 2003 when the honor began.
  • Physician offices in the outpatient centers use electronic medical records. This allows physicians to update medical records immediately and to view records from the hospital more quickly. Additionally, patients can sign up for the free MyChart service which allows them to view parts of the medical record, renew prescriptions and schedule appointments online.

Pricing

Metro Health offers competitive prices. Our Community Benefit Discount is for patients with no health insurance. Our prices reflect the cost of a service with and without this discount.

Please Note: The prices at our neighborhood outpatient centers include the cost of seeing your Metro Health family practice or internal medicine physician or a pediatrician. They do not include fees from additional doctors, such as a radiologist, who may be involved with your care. The prices listed are average prices.
