Metro Health Hospital Foundation Announces Winter Grants

The Metro Health Hospital Foundation has approved nearly $94,000 in grants to support programs and services provided by the Hospital. Four grants ranging from $4,000 to more than $43,000 will support a wide variety of initiatives, including the purchase of new transporter software, training and flu shots.
The 2008 winter grants include:
- Low-cost flu shots for the community
- CPR training for security officers, who are often first on the scene with visitors or patients of Metro Health arriving at the facility
- Software to improve the patient transport experience within the hospital
