The Metro Health Hospital Foundation has approved more than $75,000 in grants to support programs and services provided by the Hospital.

In her new role, Lawson will be responsible for strategy development to recruit and retain physicians to Metro Health Hospital and its 12 neighborhood outpatient centers. Currently, the hospital has more than 520 physicians. She is also responsible for promoting service lines and capturing patient referrals within the system’s market.

Metro Health will be honored by the Michigan Business and Professional Association in a special reception on May 5. An independent research firm evaluated each company’s entry based on a number of criteria, including communications, community initiatives, compensation and benefits, diversity, employee development and other key areas.

Dr. Paul A. Brown has joined as Metro Health Hospital as an ophthalmologist. Brown is board certified in ophthalmology. He is practicing currently at Metro Health Rockford and Hudsonville. After May 16, his Hudsonville practice will move to Metro Health Village.

Keystone Pharmacy has donated more than 400 stuffed animals and accessories to the Metro Health Hospital Foundation for use in the Metro Health’s Child Life Services program.

Deb has been a Metro Health employee for nearly 15 years. She works as an IT Analyst, supporting the ambulatory front desk users and referral staff. She also works with the Clarity reporting team, providing ambulatory reports and data to managers, providers and Community Connect clients.
