Metro Health cardiovascular specialist Dr. Jihad Mustapha is the first physician in the world to use a new medical device to treat peripheral arterial disease.

PAD screenings take approximately 30 minutes and involve taking a person’s blood pressure in the arms and ankles. The screenings are available 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Metro Health Hospital. Registration is required. Call 616.242.4880 to register.

Metro Heart & Vascular will begin seeing patients on Valentine’s Day in a clinic location at 904 S. Washington, Suite 130 in Holland. The site will offer cardiovascular appointments, as well as diagnostic testing for cardiovascular disease, including peripheral arterial disease.
