Patient Care Tech- ICU/CDU/ED
Resource opportunities available in the many departments. The patient sitter assists the nursing staff by providing continual observation of the patient in order to maintain patient care and safety. Pulmonary Function Lab Technologist – RRT
Metro Health’s Pulmonary Function Lab has a resource (on-call) opportunity for a Registered Respiratory Therapist working first shift. Duties to include performing all forms of pulmonary function testing, bronchial provocation, areterial blood gas analysis, oximetry measurements, assist with bronchoscopy procedures, and other related respiratory therapy procedures. Need to possess thorough knowledge of pulmonary anatomy, physiology and pulmonary pathphysiology. Previous experience working in Pulmonary Function Lab is required. Certified or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist credentialing preferred.
OB Tech I – Childbirth Center
Full-time opportunities available in our Childbirth Center. Available shifts hours are: 6:45 am. to 7:15 pm and 6:45 pm. to 7:15 am. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, previous patient care experience, CENA or basic EMT training and certification, and current BLS/CPR card. Mammography Technologist – Resource
Resource (on-call) opportunity available between Metro Health Hospital and Metro Health offsite locations. Day shift hours. A Mammographer performs mammography procedures and daily Quality Assurance Tests. Must have an understanding of State and FDA regulatory requirements and be willing to work with peers to resolve and educate on quality assurance activities. Requirements include completion of a formal Radiographic Technology program, board registered by ARRT in Mammography, BLS certification, customer services skills, and computer experience.
Pharmacist – On-call
On-Call opportunities, working variable shifts. Responsibilities include day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy including preparing and dispensing medications, disseminating drug information, and actively monitoring the performance of supportive personnel within the department. The pharmacist will be responsible for receiving, interpreting, clarifying, and instituting any action on all medication orders, chemotherapies, and completing other compounding as necessary. Pharmacists are required to have completed Pharmacy training at a recognized pharmacy school and must possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy. Ultrasound Technologist – Resource
On-call day shift opportunities available in the Radiology Department. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform various diagnostic-imaging procedures employing high frequency sound waves. Requirements include satisfactory completion of formal ultrasound technology program in an AMA-approved school, successful completion of board registry by the ARDMS, and a current BLS/CPR card. Candidates must have a minimum of six month’s experience in clinical ultrasound setting. Core knowledge in a professional health care setting and a working knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound technology is expected.
