Nurse Manager for Childbirth Center

With over 1,600 births annually, the Childbirth Center provides comprehensive childbirth services and the highest level of infant care short of a neonatal center. We are currently seeking a full-time salaried manager who has current clinical expertise and knowledge base in this area. This position will be responsible for operational and capital budget, evaluating patient care and nursing practice. Requirements include current license as an RN with Michigan Board of Nursing, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, experience as a staff nurse and minimum of 5 years experience in clinical nursing. Knowledge of current nursing practice, and sound financial practices relating to healthcare required. A Master’s Degree in Nursing or relevant area preferred.

 

RN- Emergency

Full-time/Part time opportunity available in the Emergency Department. Hours including weekend requirements. Direct patient care responsibilities within the RN job scope while maintaining Metro’s Mission Statement. RN licensure, current BLS/ CPR card, and previous Emergency Room experience required. ACLS preferred.

 

RN – ICU/CDU

Full and part-time nursing opportunity available in the Intensive Care Unit. Available hours are 7am-7pm and 7 pm – 7am with rotational week-end requirement. The ICU at the new Metro Health Hospital is a 16-bed unit designed to provide for patients who are critically ill requiring immediate treatment, intensive monitoring, and intensive nursing care. The goals of the ICU are accomplished through the provision of team-oriented, interdisciplinary, individualized care involving an Intensivist. Direct patient care responsibilities within the RN job scope. Requirements include: current RN licensure, current BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least one year of acute care nursing experience.

 

RN- Medical Surgical /Telemetry

Night-shift opportunities available on our adult Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit at the new Metro Health Hospital. This is a 37-bed unit specializing in telemetry. Our team of Medical Surgical/Intermediate care nurses work with a diverse population of patients in a very fast-paced environment. The ability to provide a variety of care, from complex patients requiring cardiac monitoring to surgical patients with challenging post-op needs, is an essential skill for these nurses. Direct patient care responsibilities within the RN job scope. Requirements: current RN licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications. One year of acute care nursing experience preferred.

 

RN- Surgery

Metro Health’s Surgical Services Department has full-time and part-time opportunities available. The full-time work hours are 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., part-time work hours are 10:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. Days will be scheduled Monday through Friday with occasional on-call weekend requirements. The Surgery Staff RN assumes encounter-based responsibility and accountability for surgical patients and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment / instrumentation, and other health care team members. Current Michigan RN licensure and current BLS/CPR card required. Previous surgical experience and ACLS preferred.

 

Clinical Coordinator – Assisted Breathing Center

Full-time opportunity (40 hours/week) for a Registered Nurse leader in the Assisted Breathing Center, a 43-bed unit providing care to ventilator-dependant patients. The Clinical Coordinator will assist in the management of the unit and coordinate nursing personnel and patient care activities. Responsibilities include evaluating care preformed by department staff, committee participation, quality management, staff development, development of policies and standards, and problem solving. Requirements include: minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience in a Med/Surg setting, a BSN, current RN licensure, current BLS and ACLS.

 

LPN – Assisted Breathing Center

Full-time and part-time night shift opportunities at the Assisted Breathing Center. Available shift hours are 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. with rotational weekend requirements. Direct patient care responsibilities within the LPN job scope. Metro Health has received the Governor’s Award of Excellence for Inpatient Services tha last 3 years running, and is named in the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for implementation of safety practices in inpatient care. Due to expansion of the Assisted Breathing Center we currently have full and Part-time opportunities . Available shifts are: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 am. Direct patient care responsibilities within the RN job scope while maintaining Metro’s Mission Statement. RN licensure and current BLS/ CPR card required.

 

RN- Resource

Resource RN positions available working night shifts in the Assisted Breathing Center, ICU, Surgery/Prep/Recovery and the Med-Surg Units.
