In December of 2009, Metro Health Hospital invested in a formalized clinical research department. A systematic approach has been developed for implementation and oversight of research activities performed within the institution and its affiliate sites.
Our mission is to support innovative research opportunities for patients, physicians, the community and employees through the implementation of a sustainable research program. This is accomplished by the establishment of a collaborative administrative infrastructure that supports the principals and objectives of a human research protection program.
Through education, community collaborations, and dedication to ongoing research expertise, the Metro Health Department of Clinical Research will foster a culture of inquiry within the Metro Health community that will benefit patients who seek the best forms of treatment and approaches to their clinical care.
