Care for the Underserved
Metro Health Breton serves a diverse, medically underserved population in the Grand Rapids metropolitan area and is committed to providing high quality, patient-focused health care to the uninsured, underinsured, low-income population. Often, if Breton can’t provide the care that patients need, they won’t follow through. Ensuring we can meet all of their needs means that we need your help.
Heart & Vascular
From emergent conditions like heart attacks and chest pain to diagnostic and preventive care, Metro Heart & Vascular is well equipped to address a wide range of needs. The cardiologists are having great success clearing blockages and restoring circulation to the legs, even with the most challenging of cases. Their skills in this area are literally saving lives and limbs and have gained national attention. Your support can help provide support for the program to continue making strides to help cardiovascular patients.
As a community hospital, Metro provides care for thousands of pediatric patients. With your help, we can enhance the experience for children while improving medical treatment. Utilizing the unique services of the Child Life Program, we can minimize the trauma associated with hospitalization and medical procedures for children by incorporating distraction techniques and family support. In addition, support of the Child Life Program enables Metro Health to offer a Summer Family Camp for families who have a loved one with cancer.
As a community hospital, we care for a variety of patients – who also have spiritual needs that require our attention. Because of the mounting number of patients served, the increased need for spiritual care is greater now than ever. With your help, we will be able to provide patients with the care they need through the Spiritual Care Program.
