Metro Health’s Live Healthy Programs offer a variety of cooking classes and cooking demonstrations.

Fresh Start Cooking Classes

Metro Health has partnered with SpartanNash Culinary Classroom to offer Fresh Start Cooking Classes- fun and affordable classes with a health focus. Join us for these hands-on classes, as Chef Amy Sherman offers new ways to whip up fresh, healthy meals. Watch past Fresh Start cooking classes on WKTV, channel 25, Mondays at 8:00 p.m. and Fridays at 6:30 p.m. or check out Metro Health’s Youtube page!

Vegan Cooking Classes

Metro Health is excited to offer Vegan Cooking Classes at the SpartanNash Culinary Classroom. Whether for health reasons, ethical reasons or you just want to try something new, we will show you how to put your vegan plan into action and create delicious and easy recipes.

Cooking with the Specialist

Metro Health’s Executive Chef Ryan Reynolds teams up with a specialist to offer a fun and interactive way to learn about nutrition and chronic disease. Cooking with the Cardiologist and Cooking with the Diabetes Educators are just two examples of popular programs.

Kids Cooking Classes

Metro Health has partnered with Gordon Food Service to offer affordable and fun kids cooking classes. Kids will learn cooking and nutrition basics. Suitable for ages 7 and up with a signed parental consent form.
