"Live Healthy" Community Outreach Programs

Fitness Classes


Do you cringe at the thought of a running program, or don’t even know how long a 5k is?
This is the program for you! Participants meet twice a week. Mondays will focus on running and cardio. Wednesdays will keep your running exercises on schedule, followed by a relieving yoga class.

Cost: $55/8-week session and Metro Way 5k race fee included!
Starting May 21
Mondays 7-8 a.m. OR 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Wednesdays 7-8 a.m. OR 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Meet at the ER entrance on the south side of the hospital.

Metro Moms Yoga
Pregnancy is a great time to start a fitness program and yoga is a wonderful start. It is gentle, but strength building. It also helps the body prepare for labor and delivery. Yoga helps alleviate stress and encourages connection with a woman’s changing body.

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Enhance Fitness
An evidence-based fitness class for seniors! Metro Health has joined with Senior Neighbors to train you in developing strength, balance, endurance and flexibility while providing a fun social experience.

Tai Chi
The slow controlled movements of Tai Chi offera great physical and mental workout known for its many health benefits such as improving and maintaining flexibility, range of motion, balance and to build muscle in the legs and lower back.
