Have you considered adding an Antioxidant & Sunscreen to your skin care regimen?

Skin is the largest organ in the human body.  Generally, we take our skin for granted, but it is our first level of defense from the external world and requires proper care.  One thing we all have in common is the chronic exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun.  Our hands, neck, arms and particularly the face are where aging of the skin is most obvious.  In addition to sun exposure, other factors such as cigarette smoke, poor diet, excess alcohol, stress and sleep deprivation can also accelerate skin aging.

One way of mitigating the effects of these skin damaging processes is to increase levels of protective antioxidants through a diet rich in fruits and vegetables or by direct topical application.  A topical antioxidant provides enhanced protection against UVA and UVB rays.  Antioxidant therapy inhibits skin-damaging free radical activity, is required for collagen synthesis and plays a vital role in skin repair.  Using a broad spectrum sunscreen plus an antioxidant gives enhanced protection of the skin from UV-induced free radical damage.

Phloretin CF Gel and Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 both by SkinCeuticals are two of our most highly recommended products at the Cosmetic Treatment Center.  The Phloretin CF Gel combines a trusted antioxidant trio of Phloretin, Vitamin C and Ferulic Acid which provides broad spectrum UV protection, regulates pigment production, accelerates cell turnover and stimulates collagen synthesis.  The overall effect will boost skin’s structure for a firmer, brighter complexion.

The Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 is a broad spectrum sunscreen  that also provides a physical block of transparent titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.  The sheer fluid adapts to every skin tone providing a universal tint and boosting radiance.  It’s ideal for normal to dry skin types and is water and sweat resistant.

When used together, the SkinCeuticals antioxidant and sunscreen provide the most comprehensive protection against UV-induced photodamage and skin cancer. Come check out these amazing products and be prepared for the summer months!
