Infectious Disease Locations

Treating infectious diseases is a bit like being a detective. The specialist has to analyze the clues and put them together to solve the case and properly diagnose the disease. At Metro Health our infectious disease specialist is an expert in a wide variety of diseases and their treatments.

Dr. Mohamad El Mortada, Metro Health’s Director of Infectious Disease, works throughout the hospital to help inpatients battling infections. He has expertise in everything from HIV and MRSA to skin, soft tissue and bone infections. After discharge, patients may continue to see him for follow-up appointments at his office in the Metro Health Professional Building.

Doctor El Mortada is also available for physician referrals and outpatients who may need his help diagnosing and treating viral infections, chronic hepatitis, sexually transmitted diseases, tick-borne infections or any other potential infectious disease case. He also works with adults who need to update their immunizations or people preparing for international travel.

Metro Health Infectious Disease is located in the Metro Health Professional Building in Suite 160. To make an appointment call (616) 252-6050.
