Mohamad El Mortada, MD Dr. El Mortada specializes in a wide variety of infectious diseases including skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, HIV, infectious wounds, MRSA and sexually transmitted diseases. He also offers adult immunizations and is an expert in preparing travelers and immunizing them for diseases they may encounter while traveling internationally. Dr. El Mortada completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Joseph Hospital at the University of Illinois in Chicago and an infectious disease fellowship at Michigan State University. Prior to coming to Metro Health he was the Assistant Director of Infectious Disease at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI.
