    April is Earth Month

    While Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22, at Metro Health, we’re committed to making every day Earth Day! We’re featuring activities all month long to help educate our community and demonstrate how even small changes can make a big difference for our environment.

    Please join us for these earth-friendly events in April:

    • Rain Barrel Workshop – Wednesday, April 12, 6 – 7:30 p.m.
      Learn about the benefits of rain barrels and build one to take home. Click here to learn more and to register.
    • Commuting Confidently – Wednesday, April 26, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
      This educational seminar will cover bicycle safety checks, crash avoidance techniques, how to ride legally in traffic and much more! Click here to learn more and to register.
    • Community Clean Up Day – Friday, April 21, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
      Give back to the community by helping to clean up the village and surrounding neighborhoods. Great way for high school kids to get community service hours! Click here to register.
    • Drug Take Back Day – Saturday, April 29, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

      Learn how the community can take products they find in Farm Markets and local retailers to build menus during specific seasons that tie into their lifestyle. Plus, you’ll learn about foods impact on the environment. Click here to register.
