    Metro Health wants you to get the most out of life. That’s why we feature programs to treat the whole you – body, mind and spirit.

      • Cancer Support
        Classes such as yoga and guided relaxation are available to help you through your cancer journey.  A variety of support groups are designed to assist the whole family during your cancer treatment.
      • Community Events
        Metro Health often hosts community events including blood drives, weekly farm markets, the Metro Way 5K, Drug Take Back Day and community clean-up days. We encourage you to participate in these activities and help make our community a better place for everyone!
      • Cooking and Nutrition
        Our popular cooking and nutrition classes teach you how to create recipes that are healthy, easy and delicious. Metro Health Executive Chef Zach Zost brings his love of cooking to our monthly hands-on classes, making them both fun and educational. Some classes include physicians who join Chef Zach in the kitchen and discuss how to improve your health through good nutrition.
      • Education Seminars
        Throughout the year, educational seminars are available on a wide variety of topics including heart health, orthopedic injuries and diabetes. Many of these classes are led by specialists who take care to explain topics thoroughly and answer your questions.
      • Fitness Classes
        Are you thinking about trying a yoga or Zumba class without having to pay expensive gym prices? At Metro Health, you can! Our fitness classes include tai-chi, different levels of yoga, Zumba and many others!
      • Heart Health
        Heart disease is the number one killer in the United States, but there are things you can do to monitor your health, prevent heart disease and treat it successfully. Our free, monthly blood pressure screens help you track your numbers and see trends to share with your physician. We also offer Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) and student heart screens throughout the year. Ask the specialist about new procedures or treatment options at one of our seminars, and focus on heart-healthy foods and recipes in our physician-led cooking classes.
      • Living with Diabetes
        Learn self-management skills and make lifestyle changes to help manage diabetes and avoid or delay the complications associated with it. We offer a diabetes support group, educational seminars and cooking classes.
      • Pain Management
        Are you or someone you know tired of living in constant pain? Metro Health offers classes led by specialists to help you learn how to identify, treat and prevent injuries that lead to chronic pain.
      • Parenting Classes
        Start your parenting journey off the right way with Metro Health’s childbirth classes. We also offer classes and a support group for breastfeeding moms as well as infant massage classes.
      • Sports Clinics
        Play the safe way! Our physicians and physical therapists lead sports injury clinics to show you proper form and techniques to steer you away from injuries and pain.
      • Support Groups
        Metro Health gives you the opportunity to connect with others who are experiencing similar situations. Stop by one of our support groups focusing on cancer, diabetes, breastfeeding or tobacco addictions.
