When is the race?

Where do I park?
There will be designated parking on Metro Health’s campus. Look for Event Parking signs as you enter Metro Health Village.
Where is packet pick-up?
You may pick up your race bib at the Metro Health Farm Market info booth on Thursday, July 18, from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Or you may pick-up your bib at the race starting at 5:00 pm. All race packet information will be emailed to you before the race.
How do I register?
Online registration is open until July 17.
If you have experiencing issues registering online, please email Livehealthy@metrogr.org.
Participants may also register prior to the race on July 18 starting at 5:00 pm. Pre-registration is encouraged. Kids’ races are free, but registration is still required.
How much does the 5K/10K Run & Walk cost?
Early-bird registration (through June 14): $25/person
Late registration (June 15 – July 17): $30/person
Race day registration (July 18): $35/person
Is there a group or family discount?
Yes, groups of 4 or more automatically receive a 20% discount when registering together.
As a Metro Health employee, do I get a discount?
Yes. Metro Health employees receive $5 off their registration. You may not combine this discount with the group discount. You may not apply this discount to friends or family entry. Contact Healthy Best for the discount code.
How are the race shirts sized?
The Metro Way 5K/10K shirts are unisex.
Am I guaranteed a shirt?
Participants must register by July 5 to reserve their t-shirt size. Participants who register after July 17 may still receive a shirt while supplies last.
Do kids participating in the kids’ races get a t-shirt?
No, kids running in the free kids’ races do not receive a Metro Way 5K/10K t-shirt. However, all children in the kids’ races will receive a bib with race number and an award for finishing! Youth that are registered to participate in the 5K/10K as registered participants are eligible to receive a race shirt if registered by July 5.

When are the kids’ races?
The kids’ races take place prior to the 5K/10K Run & Walk at 6:00 pm. These races are split into age groups and distances. Participation is free. Registration is required.

My child wants to run or walk the 5K/10K with me. Can they participate in the 5K in addition to or in place of the kids’ races?
Yes, your child can participate in the 5K/10K by officially registering and paying the race entry fee. If your child only wants to participate in the kids’ races, there’s no entry fee, but registration is still required.
Do I have to run the 5K/?K
The Metro Way 5K/10K is a run and walk so whether you run, skip, walk or hop – all levels of exercise are welcome!
Where do the proceeds of the Metro Way 5K/10K go?
The funds raised for the Metro Way 5K/10K will benefit Metro Health’s community health initiatives. As a nonprofit community hospital, Metro Health strives to offer free and low-cost health screens, services, fitness classes and educational seminars to the community.
How do I volunteer for the Metro Way 5K/10K?
We have lots of volunteer opportunities! If you are interested in volunteering please email Livehealthy@metrogr.org. Our volunteer coordinator will provide you with additional information.
Can my dog walk or run the race with me?
As much as we love furry friends, dogs may not accompany participants at the race.
