Get to Know Us

Metro Health – University of Michigan Health is becoming University of Michigan Health-West. We are proud to be known as part of one of the nation’s top-ranked health systems. But we are every bit as proud to serve you and West Michigan with the same caring, patient-centered, innovative health expertise you have come to expect.

What’s new?

Through 2022, we will be applying the University of Michigan Health-West name to signs, mailings and communications. But you will not have to worry about changing staff or phone numbers or new email addresses.

What’s not changing?

We are not changing the way we have approached health care for nearly 80 years. The new name does not mean we are changing the people who care for you or schedule your appointments.

Why is this happening?

Nearly five years ago we joined one of the most respected, highly ranked health systems in the world. The benefits to our patients continue to add up, with new services, new choices and new access to nationally ranked excellence, close to where you live.

We’re still focused on West Michigan and you:

This is our home. This is the community we serve, governed by a local board of directors, supporting community events, with neighborhood offices and local patient and family advisory councils.
