    Botox® v Xeomin®

Currently at the Metro Health Cosmetic Treatment Center, we offer both Botox® and Xeomin® injections. We get a lot of questions about both products and how they relate to and differ from each other.

The first thing you need to know is that Botox® and Xeomin® are competitors to each other. Secondly, neither is a generic. Both are FDA approved to be used to treat dynamic expression lines. They both consist of Botulinum Toxin A and both target and bind to the same area in our cells.

The biggest difference, and the reason Botox® and Xeomin® can market themselves as competitors instead of the same or generic products, is that the manufacturers of Botox® have proteins attached to the botulinum toxin a, and the manufacturers of Xeomin® have been able to remove these proteins and achieve the same results.

Both companies have reward programs that you can sign up for, and our office will also have specials at different times of the year. You choose which treatment is right for you, and we’ll provide the care and expertise.
