  • Family Bonds Cancer Support Group

A comfortable place to share, learn and heal with others on a similar journey.

Metro Health partners with Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids for this free program designed for cancer patients and the family and friends supporting them through their journey. After sharing a meal together, the two groups (survivors and family and friends) meet separately for thoughtful discussions led by experienced social workers.

During this time, Child Life Services is available upon request to meet with your children, ages 17 and under, to provide education and support.

    Consider Donating a Meal

The Family Bonds Cancer Support Group meal is provided by volunteers in the community. It’s a small and simple commitment that is greatly appreciated by the members of the group.

If you’re willing to donate a meal for our Support Group members, or have any questions, please contact Tara Visser at (616) 252-8152.
