  • Warren Reynolds Cancer Library

At Metro Health, we know that a knowledgeable patient is a key component to successful cancer treatment. The Warren Reynolds Cancer Library at the Cancer Center at Metro Health Village provides essential educational materials for patients and families battling cancer. It’s a unique community resource that features computer stations, books, DVDs, and periodicals for patients of all ages with all types of cancer.

On its shelves, you’ll find dedicated sections for nutritional information and caregiver support, as well as spiritual and psychological resources. The library also features special materials for children and families of cancer patients to help them work through the challenges of having a loved one with cancer. Computers provide Internet access, including to specific sites selected by our doctors to help you and your family find correct clinical information.

The library has been funded by Michael Donovan, Jackie Scott, and other community donors. Mr. Donovan is a cancer survivor who, after completing his treatment, wanted to give back to the community. Thanks to more than $80,000 in funding from the 2010 and 2011 Positively Warren Golf Classic, the Warren Reynolds Cancer Library will continue to grow. The golf tournament is played in honor of former WOOD-TV sports director Warren Reynolds who died of cancer in 2000.

The Cancer Center at Metro Health Village is pleased to be able to provide up-to-date information about cancer, so that you can focus on recovery.

Metro Health is proud to partner with the Lacks Cancer Center at Mercy Health St. Mary’s for this valuable extension to the main library at that facility.
