Deb Schuster Named Best of Metro!
Deb has been a Metro Health employee for nearly 15 years. She works as an IT Analyst, supporting the ambulatory front desk users and referral staff. She also works with the Clarity reporting team, providing ambulatory reports and data to managers, providers and Community Connect clients.
As an IT Analyst, Deb doesn’t typically get the chance to work with patients, that’s probably why she has excelled at providing the Best Employee Experience. “She is an excellent teacher,” her nomination form says, “she always makes time to listen.” Deb is just as appreciative of her coworkers as they are of her. “They are a great group of people,” she explains, “and I couldn’t do I what I do without them!”
The great relationship Deb has with all of her fellow Metro employees also plays a part of her favorite Metro memory. During Epic training, Deb and some other staff members took a bus trip to receive further education and instruction. For Deb, this unique opportunity brought her in touch with many employees she had never met before. “The camaraderie was fun,” she says describing the trip, “the Epic Campus was very impressive, the classes were rewarding and while we were there I was able to network with Epic users from all over the world. It was fun and challenging all at the same time.”
For Deb, receiving the Best of Metro is a very meaningful experience. Yet, she is also motivated by the honor. She says it encourages her to “continue to do my best and seek to constantly improve my knowledge.”
