Dr. Eric Walchak Awarded Specialist Designation from American Society of Hypertension

WalchakWyoming, Michigan, August 19, 2013 – Dr. Eric Walchak, a physician with Metro Health Hospital has been designated as a specialist in clinical hypertension by the American Society of Hypertension, or ASH.

ASH is dedicated to preventing and treating hypertension and its consequences, and translating hypertension research into effective treatments for patients.  The ASH specialist in clinical hypertension designation identifies and recognizes physicians with expert skills and knowledge in the management of clinical hypertension and related disorders.

Walchak is director of Metro Health’s cardiology fellowship program and director of interventional cardiology. He is board certified in internal medicine, general cardiology, interventional cardiology, interventional peripheral vascular disease, general peripheral vascular disease and nuclear cardiology.  He practices in Wyoming and in downtown Grand Rapids.
