Detecting and Diagnosing Infections

Metro Health’s Director of Infectious Disease, Dr. Mohamad El Mortada works throughout the Hospital to assist in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious disease.  An expert in a wide variety of diseases and their treatments, his expertise includes everything from HIV and MRSA to skin, soft tissue and bone infections.

Dr. El Mortada is available for physician referrals and for outpatients who require diagnosis and treatment of viral infections, chronic hepatitis, sexually-transmitted diseases, tick-borne infections or any other potential infectious disease. He’ll also work with adults who need to update their immunizations or with people preparing for international travel.
