Janice Wisniewski Selected as Best of Metro

Janice Wisniewski
Best of Metro Winner

Janice-BOMJanice has worked at Metro Health for about four years. She began at Metro as a Resource X-ray tech, filling in at the hospital and neighborhood outpatient offices and soon after started working full time at Metro Health Southwest as an X-ray tech.

The Best of Metro nominations for Janice highly commended her for her ability to provide the Best Patient Experience. A common theme was how she is able to help a patient feel at ease or make them feel safe and secure when she is taking their X-rays. “Janice always treats every person or patient as if they are the most important person in her day,” exclaimed one nomination. Another nomination says the “sincerity behind her caring and comforting” helps to put the patients at ease, and she makes sure patients know their care is in great hands.

In her time at Metro Health, Janice has also come to represent the Best Employee Experience. Her nominations rave that there is “a smile on her face at all times.” Her morning greetings “are always appreciated by the employees.” Another nomination describes her as a “GREAT mentor to all she comes in contact with” and that she “always treats people with a smile and respect.” For Janice, providing the best experiences is as simple as following the Golden Rule: “It means…treating others as I would like to be treated and how I would like my own family to be treated, with excellent care, respect and compassion.”

This attitude is evident when she was asked about her favorite Metro Memory. She described an elderly female patient who was coming in regularly for chest X-rays. “I had the opportunity to build a close relationship with her,” Janice explained. “She was a super sweet woman who reminded me a lot of my grandma and always insisted on giving me a hug every time she saw me.”

When Janice was asked about being named Best of Metro, she admitted that at first she was very surprised, but that she was also very appreciative of the recognition and support of her coworkers at Southwest and in Radiology. “It is truly a blessing to work with such a great group of people who deserve recognition for their hard work and dedication to the community Metro serves,” she explained.

Congratulations, Janice!

YOU are the BEST of Metro!
