Linda Iwan Named Best of Metro

Linda Iwan copyLinda has been working at Metro Health for 12 years. She is the manager of several specialty offices for the Metro Health Medical Group, including Metro Health Neurology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Pulmonology, Spine and Ophthalmology. She started as a Radiology Technologist at Metro Health Southwest and Jenison. In 2003, she became the manager at Metro Health Cascade, and when the medical group began hiring specialists she started managing those physician practices.

Among the employees and the physicians she manages, Linda is known for providing the Best Patient Experience. “She takes the time to sit down with the patient and discuss the problems they might be having,” explains one nomination form. Another nomination form describes how Linda is always “available for patients, to help with their concerns and questions and help resolve issues.”

“It means a lot to me to be able to provide the patient health care services, financial help and peace of mind,” explains Linda.

Just as she is known for providing the Best Patient Experience, Linda is also known for providing the Best Employee Experience. “Linda has an open door  policy,” explains a nomination form. “She is always available to talk to and she is a very fair manager. I can honestly say I wouldn’t want to work for anyone else.”

“I have worked in other healthcare organizations. Working for Metro is different,” she explains. “There is a family feeling here.”

When asked about her favorite Metro memory, Linda talked about moving Metro Health Cascade to a larger facility. “It was great to see so many people come together and support each other through the move,” she explained. “The teamwork was incredible!”

“This is such an honor,” Linda said when she was asked about being selected as the Best of Metro. “I must say that I am  humbled and at the same time excited to be part of this organization. I am privileged to work with wonderful staff, managers and physicians within the organization.”

Congratulations, Linda!
YOU are the BEST of Metro!
