Mary Mack Selected as Best of Metro

Mary Mack
Best of Metro Winner

mary-mackMary has been working for Metro Health on and off for nearly 20 years! She began her career at Metro as a medical assistant intern and has worked as a medical assistant in OB/Gyn, family practice and internal medicine and an assistant manager in pediatrics. She is currently Dr. McCully’s medical assistant at Metro Health Internal Medicine.

“Mary has so much compassion and such a big heart,” explains one of her nominations. “Her patients adore her and she knows each and every one of them…it is truly impressive.” Another nomination exclaims that “Dr. McCully’s patients adore her…every patient knows Mary by name.” These comments, and many more like them, really show how important providing the best patient experience is to Mary.

Just as important to Mary is providing the best employee experience. “I am honored to work with Mary,” says another nomination. “She has a wealth of knowledge, she is very easy to talk to and she absolutely never complains!” Whether it’s patients or employees, Mary is all about going above and beyond. “It’s going that extra step,” she explains. “It may have taken an extra five minutes for me, but it meant everything to them!”

When asked about her favorite Metro Memory, Mary – who graduated magna cum laude from Cornerstone University – talked about working with the next generation of medical assistants and physicians. “I get so excited to see new medical assistants or medical students whom I had a hand in training or worked with side by side, to watch them develop within the Metro system,” she explained. “I love watching their compassion and commitment grow for patients, coworkers and Metro.”

When asked about being named Best of Metro, Mary said she was stunned. “I couldn’t believe my name was being called for something I love to do,” she explained. “It was a truly humbling experience to be recognized. You never realize how your actions are impacting other people around you. I am honored and blessed!”

Congratulations, Mary!
YOU are the BEST of Metro!
