Metro Health Hospital Foundation Welcomes New Development Officers
The Metro Health Hospital Foundation has hired two new employees to serve as development officers.
In their new roles with the organization, Jaime Counterman and LeAnn M. Secord will be responsible for increasing philanthropic support for the Metro Health Hospital Foundation by planning and managing select annual giving initiatives, special events, third party fundraising, major gifts, grants and planned giving.
Counterman has most recently served as annual funds manager for Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. She has also worked for numerous other non-profit organizations including the American Cancer Society, the Great Lakes and Carolinas chapters of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Metropolitan Enterprises, Metro Health Hospital and Planned Parenthood Centers of West Michigan.
Active in the community, Counterman serves as a member of the Grand Valley State University Women’s Center Advisory Council. She holds a bachelor’s degree from GVSU.
A native of Lowell, Counterman resides in Sparta with her husband, Aron, daughter, Olivia, and their shepherd and Lab mix, Riley.
Secord returns to the Foundation having most recently served as fund development manager for Girl Scouts of West Michigan Shore to Shore. She has also served other non-profits including the Pilgrim Manor Foundation, Chase Park Grants LLC and Paws With A Cause. She also worked at Anderson Mason Dale Architects.
Secord is also active in the community, serving as a board member for Arts in Motion, as co-chair of the Aquinas College Fund and on the Habitat for Humanity of Kent County Women Build Steering Committee. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Aquinas College.
A native of Muskegon, Secord resides in Grand Rapids with her golden retriever, Koda.
