Metro Health Hospital Named One of Michigan’s Best & Brightest in Wellness
Metro Health Hospital has received recognition as one of Michigan’s Best and Brightest in Wellness®.
Metro Health is one of only three hospitals in Michigan to receive the award, which is sponsored by Wellco and the Michigan Business and Professional Association. The Best and Brightest in Wellness Award honors organizations that recognize and celebrate quality and excellence in health and wellness. This is Metro’s first time on the list.
The Best and Brightest in Wellness celebrates companies that are making their businesses healthier, the lives of their employees better and the community a healthier to place to live. The Best and Brightest program provides yearlong education, benchmarking, assessment tools and interaction amongst the best employers throughout Michigan.
The Best and Brightest in Wellness winners were evaluated using the WellCompanies assessment, created and administered by Wellco, the nation’s leading wellness systems firm. Evaluation criteria include policies, environment, leadership, awareness and motivation, assessment and intervention, incentives and integration and measurement.
Metro Health achieved a score of 100 in the awareness and motivation category, compared to the regional average of 83. The awareness and motivation category rates participants on programs and resources that begin employee receptiveness to healthy lifestyles. Additionally, Metro scored an 82 in the assessment and intervention category, which measures impacting changes in employee health status and the overall health of your organization. The average regional score in assessment and intervention is 72.
