Metro Health Hospital Named One of Michigan’s Best & Brightest in Wellness

Metro Health Hospital has again been recognized as one of Michigan’s Best and Brightest in Wellness®.Print

Metro Health is one of only two hospitals in Michigan to receive the award, which is sponsored by Wellco and the Michigan Business and Professional Association. The Best and Brightest in Wellness Award honors organizations that recognize and celebrate quality and excellence in health and wellness. This is the second time Metro has been included on the list.

Metro Health had scores of perfect 10 in both the leadership and benefits and programs categories, while the regional average score in those categories was eight. Additionally, Metro scored a nine in the culture and environment category, in which regional average scores also measured eight. Metro scored an 8.7 overall. The regional average overall score was eight.

The Best and Brightest in Wellness celebrates companies that are making their businesses healthier, the lives of their employees better and the community a healthier to place to live. The Best and Brightest program provides yearlong education, benchmarking, assessment tools and interaction amongst the best employers throughout Michigan.

The Best and Brightest in Wellness winners were evaluated using the WellCompanies assessment, created and administered by Wellco, the nation’s leading wellness systems firm. Evaluation criteria include culture and environment, employee input, leadership, benefits and programs, participation and incentives and outcomes, analysis and tracking.
