Metro Health Hospital Receives Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program Accreditation

Metro Health Hospital has been reaccredited by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, or HFAP.

The accreditation review process is designed to ensure the highest standard of care for hospital patients. The process includes extensive and objective review of the hospital’s quality and safety standards. The resulting accreditation is recognized by the federal government, state governments, managed care organizations and insurance companies.

“We are very pleased to once again receive HFAP accreditation,” said Metro Health President and CEO Mike Faas. “We strive to provide quality care and an exceptional patient experience and appreciate HFAP’s recognition of our achievements.”

The HFAP is a non-profit and independent organization. Its accreditations are recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. It has been accrediting healthcare facilities for more than 60 years and under Medicare since its inception. Its mission is to advance high quality patient care and safety through objective application of recognized standards. For more information, go to
