Metro Health Hosts Grand Valley Metropolitan Council Meeting Feb. 20

Metro Health Hospital will host the quarterly meeting of the Grand Valley Metropolitan Council on Thursday, Feb. 20.

More than 120 members are expected to attend the meeting, which will feature a presentation from Metro Health President and CEO Mike Faas on “2014 Healthcare Strategies: Implications for West Michigan.”

The meeting, which is open to the media, begins at noon in the Metro Health Conference Center, 2225 Main Street SW on the Metro Health Village in Wyoming.  Lunch will be served.  Reservations are required.

In his comments, which are scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m., Faas will provide an overview of changes and challenges provided by the Affordable Care Act and the current state of the healthcare industry.  He will also discuss how organizations like Metro Health are responding and share an update on Metro Health’s search for a strategic partnership.
