Metro Health Park East Adds Urgent Care and Other Services, Holds Community Open House on Jan. 30
Metro Health has now added Urgent Care and more to the growing list of services available at its Metro Health Park East facility.
Conveniently located just off I-96 at 4055 Cascade Road SE, Urgent Care will offer walk-in care for non-life-threatening conditions, such as cuts, bruises, sprains, minor injuries, nausea, vomiting, coughs, flu and more. Staffed by physicians from Metro Health’s Emergency Department, the new facility is nearly 11,000 square feet in size and features 10 treatment rooms with space for further expansion.
The Metro Health Park East Urgent Care will be open 365 days a year from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The hospital is also adding laboratory and imaging services to its growing suite of services at the 82,000-square-foot building. The lab will be open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. No appointments are necessary for walk-in service, which will provide quick test results.
Imaging will provide general X-ray services that are also available by walk-in or appointment from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The facility has space that will allow for expansion of imaging services as community demand for new services increases.
The public is invited to an open house on Saturday, Jan. 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. to see the full array of services available at Metro Health Park East. The facility also includes a Wound Healing Center, which opened in December 2015, and outpatient surgical suites, which opened two years ago this month.
“We are very pleased to announce another significant expansion of services at Metro Health Park East,” said Mike Faas, president and CEO of Metro Health. “We continue to recognize and respond to the community’s demands for quality, affordable health care services that are conveniently located and easy to access.
“Since we opened the doors of Metro Health Park East in January 2014, we have been incredibly pleased with the response to this centrally located facility. We invite the community to join us on Jan. 30 for an open house that will showcase the leading-edge services we offer.”
Families are invited to attend. In addition to tours of the facility, Metro Health will offer free health screenings and demonstrations and activities for children, including:
- The Teddy Bear Clinic, which encourages young children to bring a teddy bear so they can see the tests or procedures they may encounter in a doctor’s office or Urgent Care
- Germs Away! technology that uses ultra-violet light to study germs while teaching the best ways to stay healthy
- Demonstrations of the latest technology in imaging, surgery and wound-healing
- Blood pressure and other health screenings
Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, visit http://bit.ly/20qE933.
