Brave Heart

Brave Heart

A turkey drumstick was stuck in Donald Haan’s throat. At least that’s how he’d describe it. Donald Haan made a courageous decision. Rather than overlook the discomfort in his chest, he chose to go to Metro Health Hospital. An EKG revealed that discomfort to be a heart attack. The Metro Heart & Vascular team of specialists inserted a stent to eliminate the blockage. The relief for Donald was instant. But the relief didn’t end there. A lifelong fighter of hypertension, Donald and  Dr. Eric Walchak, the area’s first hypertension-certified Cardiologist, began a treatment plan to manage his blood pressure. Even with the pressure off, Donald still listens to his body and, along with Dr. Walchak, encourages you to boldly do the same.
