Goal Keeper

Goal Keeper

Melissa Briscoe is a young mom and she likes to play hockey. So when it came time to find a doctor, Melissa was looking for someone who had the same passion for staying active and healthy as she did. She found Dr. Kristi Kern, Family Practice/Sports Medicine specialist at Metro Health. “I thought it would be interesting to have a primary care physician who is also into sports medicine,” says Melissa.  Metro Health works with colleges and professional teams but they also work with moms, dads and weekend athletes. Melissa keeps goal in a coed league so there’s plenty of opportunity to stay in shape and pick up a few bruises along the way. According to Dr. Kern, it works best when you have a plan and she’s helping Melissa keep her goals.
