Standing Ovation

Standing Ovation

Beverly McGee-Betts loves beautiful shoes and Zumba. But with advanced vascular disease these two passions were things of the past. The pain for Beverly became so bad that she could only stand for short periods of time. And then she met Dr. Barbara Karenko, Vascular Specialist at Metro Heart & Vascular. Through a series of techniques the blockages in Beverly’s legs were removed, allowing better blood flow and near instant relief. She was up walking the next day. According to Dr. Karenko, Metro Health is receiving referrals from all over the country from people—many who are facing amputation—who are looking to improve their quality of life. Just like Beverly who  is standing—and jumping—again.
