  • Pulmonary Rehabilitation

    The Metro Health Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a program that combines exercise, education and support to improve your breathing and function at the highest level possible.

    After a physician orders Pulmonary Rehab for a patient, a team of registered respiratory therapists, and a clinical medical director will develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to the patients specific needs and will help set realistic, safe goals.

    Pulmonary Rehab session can consist of up to 36 sessions which usually last 6-12 weeks. Class sizes are small and meet 2-3 times per week for up to one and a half hours. The amount of time it takes to complete a program varies with each patient. The pulmonary rehab staff monitors the patients vital signs closely as they exercise, to help the patient make steady, safe progress.
