Solomon Amos Named Best of Metro

Solomon copySolomon has been working at Metro Health for six years. He is a Resolution Analyst at the IT Help Desk. He has also worked in tech support for the hospital as a hardware technician.

If you work at Metro Health, there is a good chance you’ve talked to Solomon on the phone when you’ve had a computer issue. His daily interaction with hospital and off-site employees has garnered Solomon a reputation for providing the Best Employee Experience. “He goes the extra mile to make sure everything works,” explains his nomination form. Another nomination says that Solomon “exemplifies the Metro Way, in his day to day cheerful communication.” Solomon understands the value of providing the Best Employee Experience. “It feels really good knowing that those employees I have talked to feel confident in my ability to help with their issues and that they enjoy talking to me on the phone,” he explains.

While Solomon may not have direct patient contact, it is important to realize the effect he has on other employees and clinicians providing the Best Patient Experience. If he is able to help someone fix their computer problem quickly and efficiently, it allows them to keep their focus on the patient and avoids any delays or lapse in care. For this reason, Solomon plays a big part in how Metro Health provides the Best Patient Experience, even though he works behind the scenes.

When asked about his favorite Metro memory, Solomon talked about the Epic Go-Live. “I got to see a lot of my co-workers relaxed and having fun during a very stressful time,” he explained. “Everyone was joking and laughing, it was a good time.”

When asked about being selected as the Best of Metro, Solomon said that it “means a lot to be acknowledged by Metro Health.” He continued by saying, “I have always tried my best to provide the best customer experience possible and winning this award means that I am doing a good job.”

Congratulations Solomon! YOU are the BEST of Metro!
