If you need cancer surgery, you should know that Metro Health has one of the area’s only surgical oncologists, Laurence McCahill, MD, on staff. Dr. McCahill is dedicated to the removal of a wide variety of tumors, including those related to the skin and internal organs, and biopsies of tissue for closer examination, and provides over 20 years of experience in breast cancer surgery through the Metro Health Breast Cancer Program.

Dr. McCahill also specializes in the coordination of care with the leading medical oncologists located at the Cancer Center at Metro Health Village and radiation oncology services through the University of Michigan Department of Radiation Oncology. This collaboration means you can receive nationally recognized expertise and high-quality care close to home. Metro Health Surgical Oncology services include GI cancer surgery, endocrine surgery, skin and soft tissue surgery and breast cancer surgery.
