Three Metro Health Executives Promoted

February 2, 2007

Metro Health has announced the promotions of three senior executives. The promotions include:

  • Chris Lawrence, who has served as director of legal services and
    risk management, is the new vice president of compliance. In her new
    role with the organization, Lawrence will be responsible for compliance
    programs for the hospital and neighborhood outpatient centers,
    including education, training, monitoring and auditing.
  • Bob Smedes, who will serve in the newly developed position of
    executive vice president of growth strategies. Smedes joined Metro
    Health in 2002 and has served as chief financial officer. In his new
    role, he will lead Metro’s venture development to attract and retain
    new primary-care physicians and specialists, to oversee marketing
    strategies for Metropolitan Enterprises and to maintain business
    relationships with the organizations located in the Metro Health
  • Tim Susterich, who has served as vice president of finance,
    has been named the new chief financial officer. Susterich, who has been
    with the organization since 1999, will be responsible for all financial
    matters of Metro Health and its related entities.

leaders and have been strong contributors to Metro Health over the
years. I think each is well suited for the new challenges in these
highly demanding positions."
