    At Metro Health, we understand that caring for our patients’ behavioral, psychological and brain health services takes a variety of experts and clinicians working across a range of fields and disciplines. Throughout their lives, women encounter a variety of issues and events that can have an impact on their mental health and well-being.

    Metro Health provides a variety of services, and partners with a variety of organizations, to offer our patients the care they need when faced with an illness or life event that may impact your psychological or behavioral health. These services include:

    Childbirth/Child Life Services:

    • Child Life Specialists and Social Workers to assist both adult and child inpatients and family members
    • Physician assistance for women with the mental and emotional effects of menopause
    • “Welcome Home Baby,” a program sponsored by the government to help new mothers adjust to having a baby, as well as providing resources for child development
    • OB/GYN physicians can provide early referral for any postpartum treatment in a streamlined process while you are still in the hospital, or soon after you leave the hospital
