  • Bone Health/Osteoporosis Services

At Metro Health, we understand that women have different needs for maintaining strong, healthy bones than men. Women are at higher risk of breaking a bone because they tend to have smaller, thinner bones. Additionally, estrogen levels drop during menopause. This decrease in estrogen can cause bone loss and increases the risk of developing osteoporosis.

We also know that bone health issues vary throughout a women’s life. For example, a broken bone at age 24 is different than a broken bone at age 74 and requires different level of care and treatment.

At Metro Health, we offer a wide array of services to help you take better care of your bones. From dedicated fracture care teams in our ER to provide quick treatment and recovery from a broken bone, to bone densitometry tests to scan for osteoporosis and other bone diseases, to cutting edge joint replacement surgeries like post-anterior hip replacement and more, our physicians and staff are dedicated to providing the care and expertise you need to keep your bones healthy.
